Sinking
The remains of the Alex T. Brown, a 65 m, 788-ton, four-masted wooden schooner (built 1903 in Washington, USA). She was blown ashore in a gale just before midnight on 29–30 May 1917, soon after leaving Fremantle for Manila. Only two four-masted schooners are known wrecks in Australia, and this is the only USA-built example in Australian waters
